The ethos of the owners is the complete satisfaction of their guests; they have travelled the world themselves and been guests in some of the most celebrated hotels of central Europe. They have been trained to spoil you through experience and education and look forward to doing just that.
The building was constructed before 1895; the only things that have been changed are elements that promote luxury, technology and superstructure. Financed by the European Community for the redevelopment of traditional buildings of high environmental value, great care and sympathy has been applied to the restoration. All rooms have been fitted with air conditioners and private bathrooms with either baths or jet-showers. All furniture is authentic, hand made works of craftsmanship ranging from 1790 to 1950. Persian rugs have been brought from the Far East from several members of the owner's families and Murano chandeliers were brought all the way from Smyrne and Venice. However special care has been taken to provide the best possible modern technology for guests' convenience and enjoyment.
Free Internet access, cd- player in all rooms, i.pod stands, fridge, safe, hair dryer, TV/DVD with satellite connection on demand, 24hour reception, Room Service and personal chambermaid. There is also a sauna and an open Spa. Hairdresser, massage and chiropractor appointments can be also arranged at prior notice. Personalized excursions to explore the "off the beaten track" magical sights of Kefalonia can be provided.
Your Room Selection. ANTICLEA
Rest and tranquillity on two levels. A maisonette in warm earthen colours with two restrooms. Upstairs, your window opens to a Van Goghesque view of the village among olive groves and a brush-stroke of sea on the horizon... ARMONIA
Fit for royalty. This room features a regal 1840's French mahogany bed, a majestic dark oak wardrobe, a desk, settee and an armchair, in a Wedgwood blue and white colour scheme. ELENI EROS EUPHORIA This room will fill your heart with warmth and riches. PENELOPE The "Possada" Restaurant. Possada as referred in an early poem by George Molfetas, meant a patrons estate house as well as a table set in great ceremony and style. Along with those characteristics, the exclusive environment and the collectors pieces used to augment the setting, genuine home cooked food, prepared with the best organic produce of the island is provided. Food is not only cooked as their grandparents used to do, the owners can arrange teaching sessions for our guests on how to cook local specialties. As part of this activity our guests can accompany a fishing boat for lobster day fishing. If so interested, arrangements can be made for guests to be driven to a hunting farm not more than 20 km away from the hotel, or be driven to traditional wineries for sampling Kefalonian wines. During the summer the garden next to the open spa will be the setting for the evening meals. "Cephalonia is a beautiful island with the most hospitable people; it has such a calming atmosphere." "We would love to go again... ....next week please."
